Well, I have no life, so I will watch it on the night...although I will probably switch over to watch the fireworks.

It's starts at quater to twelve, so maybe at midnight they'll do they countdown to the new year. That would be nice.

I'll tape it if my antiquated vcr is still alive.

I'm taping it. I'll add it to the however many hours of rage I already have on tape.

For once it's nice I'm not doing anything on NYE :-D

this sucks cos for once i'm going to a n.y.e party instead of staying home by myself. my vcr better not let me down.

Every article I've read said that they all are. I don't like it when it's not all of them, two or three is good, but I love it when all of them do stuff.

I would like them to replace the usual "Rage" theme music with something else.  Anything else!  That music is the reason I tend not to watch Rage; it drives me into one.

The guy who made the theme for RAGE The Chaser's studio director, Mark Fitzgerald. Actually, I don't think he does it anymore. But he used to.

Chas was too busy (I think) plus his and Andrew's music selections were too weird apparently, Andrew had some pre-recorded clips and Chris, Jules and Craig will do the actual thing... Supposedly.

Where'd you find that out?

It's all pre-recorded, but Chas isn't involved in it at all because he was busy at the time of the recording but Andrew recorded "a link or two"

I saw an ad for it last night on ABC, Chris, Craig, Jules and Andrew were there and Chris was doing most of the talking. It's programmed to run from 11:45pm to 4:30am.

I am going to record it just on a dvd. I think my dvd recorder will stretch out a normal dvd to 8 hours. So That  should be fine, and ill just copy it to a normal dvd just be nice to have somewhere.

There were probably half a dozen songs which I really liked the film clips for, so yeah its not too bad really. I think if i had watched it last night I would of been over it fairly quickly tho. 

ugh, i sat up through the whole thing. i knew the playlist was up before hand, but i didn't look at it as i wanted to be surprised. most of it was utter shit until towards the end.

i really want to know who chose '6 months in a leaky boat' by split enz, my favourite band of all time 8) same goes with 'veronica' by elvis costello, my fave song by him. after sitting through a heap of crap songs (and the occasional good one), i was very glad when these songs were played :-D

Well, you know how the show really ran out of material towards the end...it got so bad they couldn't even say "This is the Chaser, you're watching Rage" in more than one way.

i'm gathering this was the first time you have ever watched rage. they do little intros like that to let people know who is guest programming and to remind drunk and/or drugged-up people what show they are watching.

I'm sorry about how I wrote. It was my first post. Oh well I kind of knew someone would have something bad to say about it (post). No I don't really watch rage I don't really like the music they play and I only watched it for the Chaser and I still am never going to watch it. :-)

I don't watch video hits either. I really can't stand top 40 music. The music that I like is usually the music by unheard of bands who are only really successful in America. I love Fall Out Boy but I liked them before the top ten (if they count as top ten).

Perhaps a little delayed in my post here, and I did only watch until about 1.30 (I was taping it, only to wake up the next morning to realise the audio cable hadn't been plugged in properly and so I had 4 1/2 hours of video clips with no sound.......) but I thought they picked some pretty good songs

Well excluding Parkway Drive and I Killed The Prom Queen they rock by the way and I support them. Yes Brendon Urie is my dp and he is the lead singer I didn't even understand what you called him. Oh some bands that haven't been plastered on your screen or whatever are Saosin, The All-American Rejects, Arma Angelus, Aiden, Cute Is What We Aim For, Hawthorne Heights (might have heard of them though) yeah the list goes on.

I have seen everyone of those bands, with a clip on Rage. Except Cute Is What We Aim For, and Arma Angelus (for obvious reaosn with the latter band).

You express yourself with what you wear, how else are you meant to be classed, not every single person is going to talk to everyone. It usually how people become friends, and form groups, which become cliques. You like their pants, their top, their band top hey you like the band so you talk to them.

Thats true with the class thing I just hate it when people always look down on people because they are different and tease them and think the people are weird.

I usually don't watch any music show and I didn't know them bands got played, usually when i've flicked over to it they have been playing songs that I didn't particularly like. Maybe I will watch it some day...  :-)

This means, people who have listened to Prom Queen, have also listened to these other bands as well. Most of them are Australia (in fact I think all of them), and all of them are of the same genre as Prom Queen. You can hear 30 second snippets of songs from bands to see if you like it. Play around on that site, and you'll find some good Aussie gold around there.

Head On The Door is my favorite album! My mum had the cassette and I would always take it and listen to Close To Me before I went to sleep! Ha ha ha. I loved Kyoto Song too! Most people always say Pornography was their favorite album but Head On The Door, I LOVE!!!

Nah, I saw them in Adelaide, and was very pleased at the 3 hour concert too :-) and very glad I didn't have to sit through some suport band no one has heard of when you're only there to see the headlining band........

Was it Chris who picked The Stone Roses? I missed it, (though did have it taped on dvd without sound!) but read the playlist later. She Bangs The Drums is definitely one of their top songs :-D

I taped it with Help! before it, but i missed the endign as i ran out of tape. However, I wont be able to make a copy as i used a video tape and my other recorder blew up over the weekend from too much useage. Poor thing is now in silicon heaven with the rest of the toasters. Or maybe its in silicon hell with all the photocopiers. Its probably a good thing it blew up, as its killed numerous videotapes in the passed.

I loved George Harrisons video clip of 'When we were fab'. Made me a bit teary. And John Lennon!!! Pauls video was a bit weird, but funny. Ringo's was insane.

They even had Cameron Bruce's video clip!!! Hurrah!!! What was with the piano made of meat???

The highlight was that 'kiss' though. tehe

I was surprised to see it on there. I'd seen that clip about a month or so previously, but that was on youtube, I didn't think it would be in a place where Rage could access it.

This is why I switched to a dvd recorder with an internal harddrive.

Keep the thing recording for days on end if need be..

Yeah I'd never seen the video clip before. I guess Rage had access to it through Andrew's links to Cameron and Cameron's work on the ABC through various comedy programs.

Almost any Aussie artist who has ever made a video clip, has sent it to Rage, because it gets played at the crack of dawn, once, if not maybe once more. Rage has backlogs and backlogs of music videos, Andrew most likely didn't have anything to do with it.

Aldi has one with a 25oGB HDD for about $200 or so...

I think that's the one I own. Good old Aldi. It works very well by the way  :-)

Does any think by Andrew introducing the Paul McCartney clip and not the Paul Lennon clip (that was shown later on and not introduced by anyone) that he was restating an opinion he expressed in the infamous 'The Eulogy Song'?

Statement from 'The Eulogy Song': "His [John's] songs were not as quite as good Paul's"

Andrew didn't write the Eulogy Song. Chris did.

Clearly she doesn't read magazines, newspapers, the internet or even watch TV. That song was pretty much everywhere and everywhere it stated that Chris wrote the song.
