[Edition 33] MUMBAI, Thursday: Following the crushing defeat of India in the first test, the International Cricket Council has imposed a new set of rules to make the contest more even.
As a result, India has been granted an electric wickie, freeing up wicket keeper Nayan Mongia to defend the boundary. Under the rule, Australian batsmen will be deemed out "caught behind" if the ball snicks their bat and lands in the immediate area behind the wicket.

[Edition 33] SYDNEY, Monday: The so-called 'Kournikova virus', which crippled computers around the world this week, has sparked a wave of jealousy among other tennis players who are angry at the level of attention received by the Russian sporting starlet. American star Lindsay Davenport said she was sick of Kournikova receiving all of this attention. "Why couldn't it have been called the Davenport virus?" she asked. "I've won three Grand Slams, and she hasn't even won a singles tournament!" |
