Gary hopes a winning smile and an opposition to the war in Iraq will be enough to help him score NCIS fan and regular visitor to the Suicide Girls
website Gary Bullock has admitted he only joined revolutionary political group
Socialist Alliance on the chance that he"would meet some hot goth babes". Bullock, who cares nothing about the exchange
of blood for oil and rides a Ducati motorbike, nevertheless agreed to sell
copies of Green Left Weekly in a local mall "as long as that chick with
the dreadlocks and neck tattoo shows me the ropes".
"I'm doing my bit for the oppressed and downtrodden of the world", said Bullock,
pausing briefly to yell "G'day Sweeeetheart" at a passing blonde. "I bought a
Che Guevara T-shirt and everything."
In response to a student newspaper questionnaire that asked how
he would spend his day if he woke up as a woman, Bullock answered, "Smashing
the glass ceiling, feeling the objectifying effect of the male gaze and playing
with myself." He was quick to stress that the third response was intended to be
an ironic play on sexist attitudes, and a celebration of female sexuality. "I
consider myself a bit of a feminist - chicks should be allowed to vote and get
paid the same as us, I reckon".
Citing his reasons for joining the Socialist Alliance as "the exploitation of Third
World farmers, inequality of the West and an abundance of pierced
nipples", Bullock has been warmly welcomed by his fellow revolutionaries,
although he has failed to sleep with any of them as yet.
"Kris has got some great titties and she always wears a
corset," he reported. "But she's all over Ben because he once spat on Michael
Costa. I'm gonna invite her out for chai and vegan mudcake, to discuss Walter
Benjamin's theories of art in the age of mechanical reproduction. Then I'll
take her back to my place, where we'll watch The Motorcycle Diaries and maybe have a few drinks."
"If all goes well, I might even con her into giving me a blowie," he said. "In a way that's empowering for her."
