Fake passport of an individual who still has more credibility than Julie Bishop
In a final show of his respect for Foreign Minister Stephen Smith, the Israeli diplomat expelled by the Australian Government has left the country on a forged Australian passport.
"I may even kill a Hamas leader on my way home while wearing an Australian flag and singing your awful anthem," the unnamed diplomat claimed at Customs.
Meanwhile Smith has been battling to assure the Jewish community that the move will not jeopardise Australia's status as one of Israel's toady friends.
"I wanted to send Israel a clear message. And that's why we've taken strong action to expel the Third Undersecretary for Janitorial Services," the Minister said. "Although we only expelled him after Israel told us he wanted to go home for a wedding."
The expulsion has been overshadowed by Deputy Liberal Leader Julie Bishop's admission that Australia's security services also forged passports from other nations.
Bishop rushed to clarify her statement. "I have no knowledge of Australian services actually using false passports," she said in a press release from her office. "I thought nowadays it went without saying that I didn't know what I was talking about. Don't you remember my time as Shadow Treasurer?"
Late this afternoon, however, an agent from ASIS did admit that they had manufactured a fake passport. "Once we forged a fake passport to pretend that Julie Bishop came from a different nation," the source confirmed. "Just to prevent her embarrassing Australia."
"But she decided to keep using her own passport from whatever planet it is she comes from," he added.
